Gingercat: A Little Catchup

Hello, its been a while I'm afraid. The holidays are here and I seem to have had very little time to read blogs let alone update this one.

We are all well in warm and sunny Bucks, the little ones are enjoying the holidays and they seem to be speeding by already.

We have been on picnics, met up with friends, been to see Toys Story 3 and generally chilled out. Alex is very excited about his football course he is going on for two days next week. He is still football mad and seems really keen to spend two days playing non stop football.

We are supposed to be going to the zoo on Tuesday, weather permitting, not sure what the forecast is for next week.

We have booked up a few day trips and are off to Buckingham Palace a week on Monday. I am really looking forward to it, we also have tickets to see the Royal Mews too. I have promised the little ones a trip to Legoland before the end of the holidays also. Daisy is very excited as we are going to see The Lion King for her birthday in September. We decided to sod the expense and book tickets, its a combined birthday treat for her and a joint wedding anniversary present for us.

Off on our holidays at the end of August, when we head down to Cornwall. I am really looking forward to spending time in my favourite county. I went to Cornwall a lot for holidays when I was a child, so I have some really fond memories. We last went when Daisy was nearly two, so it's been a while. I am looking forward to visiting the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Helligan, to name but a few places. We are staying in a lovely looking cottage, so really looking forward to it. Can't wait to indulge in a few cream teas too, not that my waistline needs it at all!

I have been crocheting loads over the past few weeks and will reveal all in my next post. I absolutely love crocheting and really feel like something is missing if I don't do some at least daily.

Daisy with Dandy before her dressage test. She did really well with her test until the instructor who was calling out the test order lost her place. Daisy got penalised for this mistake and came last in her group and was very very upset. She still got a rosette but lots of tears were shed and lots of cuddles and words of encouragement needed. She made up for it a week later when she took her recorder grade exam and got a distinction! She was really chuffed with herself.

The little ones and Mr P having a bundle in the fields by our house. We went for a walk this evening accross the fields and up the lane to the little pub. We enjoyed a drink and some nuts and crips sat out in the garden before heading off home back accross the fields.
